President Murmu Describes Yoga as Indias Contribution to Global Well-being Amidst Challenges

On June 21, 2023, President Droupadi Murmu spearheaded the International Yoga Day celebrations in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. International Yoga Day has been celebrated annually on June 21 since its inception in 2015, following a proposal by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the United Nations General Assembly. The observance emphasizes the importance of yoga as a holistic approach to health and wellness, aligning with Indias rich cultural heritage. Jabalpurs event was part of nationwide activities promoting these values while fostering community engagement and participation in health-oriented practices.
