Rajnath Singh: India Has Adequate Fuel Supply Despite West Asia Crisis

The Ministry of Defence has reported that India currently has strategic reserves of energy resources sufficient for 60 days of crude oil, 60 days of natural gas, and 45 days of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). These reserves are part of Indias broader efforts to ensure a stable and uninterrupted supply of essential energy resources to meet the countrys demands.

The strategic reserves are crucial for energy security, particularly in times of geopolitical tensions or supply chain disruptions. Crude oil, natural gas, and LPG play significant roles in India’s energy landscape, supporting industries, transportation, and households.

The governments focus on maintaining these reserves aligns with its commitment to reduce dependency on imports and enhance domestic production capabilities. Additionally, India has been actively exploring alternative energy sources and investments in renewable energy to diversify its energy portfolio and sustain economic growth.
