Sajjala Critiques A.P. CM for Alleged Inflation of Amaravati Project Figures

In response to the claims made by N. Chandrababu Naidu regarding the Amaravati project, a leader from the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) has voiced strong skepticism. Naidu previously asserted that Amaravati is a self-financing initiative supported by a land bank of 5,000 acres, which he values at over ₹50,000 crore. However, the YSRCP representative described these assertions as unrealistic and misleading.

During the administration of Naidu, the Amaravati project was envisioned as the new capital of Andhra Pradesh, aiming to develop a modern urban center. The project has faced various challenges, including funding issues and changes in government leadership. The land bank, which was intended to generate revenue through the sale and development of plots, has also come under scrutiny for its valuation and the actual feasibility of achieving the projected financial returns.

The discussion surrounding the Amaravati project reflects ongoing tensions in the political landscape of Andhra Pradesh, particularly between the ruling YSRCP and the opposition party led by Naidu. As stakeholders continue to debate the future of the capital city, further developments are expected in terms of both political discourse and infrastructural progress.
