Srisailam Temple Revenue Reaches ₹217 Crore; Anam Reddy Attributes Success to CM Naidus Tourism Initiatives

Foot traffic at the Srisailam temple has seen a significant increase, rising from 8.218 million visitors in the 2023-2024 fiscal year to 11.971 million in 2025-2026, according to statements from the state minister for tourism.

This nearly 46% increase in visitor numbers highlights the temples growing prominence as a religious and cultural destination. The Srisailam temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva, is located in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh and attracts pilgrims from across the country.

In recent years, the state government has implemented various initiatives to enhance visitor experience, including improvements in infrastructure, services, and security. Enhancements such as better transportation facilities and accommodation options may have contributed to the rise in footfall.

The increase in pilgrims also reflects a broader trend of rising interest in spiritual tourism in India, which is becoming an essential part of the countrys economy.
