Bollywood actor Sunny Deol recently opened up about his past financial struggles, revealing that he faced a debt of approximately ₹56 crore. Despite the significant financial burden, Deol expressed contentment during that time, stating, “I was happy even with that debt,” adding that he felt he did not owe anything to anyone since the debt was self-generated.

Deol explained that he was forced to sell personal assets to manage his financial obligations, particularly after the bank issued an auction notice for his property in Juhu, a posh suburb in Mumbai. He emphasized the importance of taking responsibility for his finances, remarking that it was his money tied up in the debt, not borrowed funds from others.

The actor attributed his satisfaction to maintaining a sense of control over his situation. Deol shared his journey post-debt, highlighting his comeback with successful projects, including the film “Gadar 2,” which played a crucial role in reviving his career. The film, a sequel to his 2001 blockbuster “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha,” not only garnered critical acclaim but also performed exceptionally well at the box office, contributing to a turnaround in his financial circumstances.
