Suvendu Adhikari Leads in Nandigram While Mamata Banerjee Holds Advantage in Bhabanipur

According to the latest count released by the Election Commission of India (ECI), West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is currently leading in the Bhabanipur constituency by a margin of over 7,184 votes. In contrast, her opponent Suvendu Adhikari is maintaining a lead in the Nandigram constituency with a majority of over 12,000 votes.

This counting phase is part of the assembly elections in West Bengal, where key constituencies are being closely monitored. Banerjee, representing the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC), is seeking re-election after having previously served as the Chief Minister since May 2011. Adhikari, a former member of the Trinamool Congress who switched to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), is aiming to secure a significant win in a region that has been politically significant in recent years.

As the counting progresses, both parties remain vigilant, with the results expected to have implications for the political landscape of West Bengal and the national scenario ahead of future elections.
