T.N. Government Plans to Implement Online Property Registration Process in Six Months, Says Minister

Minister for Commercial Taxes and Registration, D. Logesh Tamilselvan, recently announced in an interview with The Hindu that a new system is set to streamline the registration process for property transactions. Under the forthcoming system, citizens will only need to visit the Sub-Registrar Office for the final authentication stage, significantly reducing the number of in-person visits required throughout the registration process.

This initiative aims to enhance efficiency and convenience for the public, potentially addressing long-standing challenges such as long wait times and bureaucratic hurdles. Officials expect that the implementation of this system will not only simplify the process for citizens but also help reduce the workload on Sub-Registrar offices across the state.

Additional details about the timelines for implementation and how the new system will operate are anticipated as the government moves forward with its rollout plans. This change aligns with broader efforts to digitize government services and improve user experience in public service delivery.
