Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Announces ₹50 Lakhs Reward for Asian Games Silver Medallist Abhay Singh

In recognition of his outstanding performance at the recently concluded Asian Games, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has announced a monetary reward of ₹50 lakhs for silver medallist Abhay Singh. The announcement was made during a ceremony held to honor Singh’s achievement in the men’s lawn bowls event.

Abhay Singh, who hails from the city of Chennai, played a pivotal role in securing a place on the podium for India as part of the national team. His medal win is seen as a significant contribution to Indias growing reputation in the sport of lawn bowls, which has been gaining popularity in the country.

The Asian Games, which took place in Hangzhou, China, featured more than 12,000 athletes from 45 countries competing across 40 sports. The event served as a platform for showcasing emerging sports talent and promoting sports development in Asia.
