Tamil Nadu Ration Shops to Operate on Sunday for Ayudha Pooja Holidays

In Tamil Nadu, all ration shops will remain open on Sunday to accommodate shoppers during the Ayudha Pooja holidays. This decision has been made to ensure that residents have access to essential goods and services during this festive period.

The Ayudha Pooja, part of the celebration of Navaratri, is a time for honoring tools and instruments used in daily life and work. This festival is significant for many families, and the availability of ration shops is expected to facilitate preparations for the celebrations.

Authorities have recognized the importance of ensuring that families have the resources they need during the holidays, as many individuals may want to purchase additional items to mark the occasion. As a result, the state government has issued a directive for ration shops to operate on their regular schedule, allowing for increased access to necessary supplies.

In addition to the extended hours, officials suggest that shoppers plan their visits accordingly to avoid any rush or overcrowding that could arise as families prepare for the festivities. By keeping the ration shops open, the government aims to support the local community and contribute to a smooth and joyful celebration of Ayudha Pooja.

This initiative reflects the commitment of the Tamil Nadu government to meet the needs of its citizens while promoting cultural practices and traditions during significant events.
