Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay Launches Two-Day Training Program for MLAs

Former Assembly Secretaries and experienced officials are set to conduct a training session for newly elected Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) focused on the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly, as well as the operations of various government departments. Speaker J.C.D. Prabhakar announced that among the 146 MLAs participating in the session, a significant number are first-time legislators, many of whom are young representatives.

This training initiative aims to familiarize the new MLAs with the legislative process and equip them with the necessary knowledge to effectively carry out their duties. The training is crucial, especially for younger legislators who are entering the political arena for the first time. Their development is seen as vital for the future of governance in the region, as they will be tasked with addressing the challenges facing their constituencies and contributing to policy-making.

The training sessions will cover essential topics such as the legislative procedure, budget processes, and the functions of key government departments. This comprehensive approach seeks to promote a well-informed legislative body capable of making impactful decisions.
