In a recent address at the 11th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister emphasized the states commitment to national development and the belief that a progressive India can only be achieved through the empowerment of individual states, cooperative federalism, and inclusive development.
The Chief Minister highlighted the importance of collaborative governance, wherein both the central and state governments work in tandem to address regional disparities and promote equitable growth. This perspective aligns with the broader objectives of NITI Aayog, which aims to foster cooperative federalism among the states and the central government, ultimately aiming to ensure that the benefits of development reach all sectors of society.
The meeting is part of NITI Aayog’s ongoing efforts to bring together leaders from various states to discuss key policy issues, share best practices, and strategize on tackling challenges such as poverty alleviation, education, healthcare, and infrastructure development. The discussions also aimed to enhance the role of states in national policy-making, ensuring that local needs and priorities are adequately addressed.
By promoting inter-state collaboration and peer learning, NITI Aayog seeks to develop holistic approaches that cater to the aspirations of diverse regions, thereby enabling a more united and developed India.
