Tamil Nadu Government Increases Cooperative Crop Loan Waiver to ₹75,000 and Extends Eligibility to All Farmers

In a recent announcement, the government revealed a new waiver program aimed at supporting farmers across different categories. A total of 8,33,773 marginal farmers will receive debt waivers amounting to ₹3,599.67 crore. Additionally, 5,16,183 small farmers will benefit from waivers totaling ₹1,995.42 crore, while 93,548 large farmers will receive waivers worth ₹337.15 crore.

This initiative is part of the governments broader strategy to alleviate financial burdens on farmers, particularly in light of challenges posed by fluctuating market conditions and climate-related challenges.
