Tech Mahindra Reports Strong Q1 Results Driven by Manufacturing Growth and AI Investments

Tech Mahindra, a leading Indian IT services provider, announced robust financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year, marking significant growth in both revenue and profit. The company reported a net profit increase of 28% year-on-year, rising to ₹1,465 crore (approximately $176 million), while revenue surged by 18% to reach ₹7,489 crore (around $908 million).

This growth trajectory has been bolstered by an uptick in deal wins, exceeding $1 billion for the third consecutive quarter. The manufacturing segment was particularly strong, contributing to the company surpassing quarterly revenue expectations.

Furthermore, Tech Mahindras strategic investments in artificial intelligence and associated technologies have begun to yield positive results, improving operational margins. The company aims to become a significant player in the AI sector, leveraging innovative solutions to enhance client services.

Nonetheless, despite these positive results, Chief Financial Officer Lakshmi Narayanan noted that uncertainties in revenue visibility had previously delayed the company’s hiring plans. Tech Mahindra remains focused on addressing these challenges to maintain its growth momentum and ensure a sustainable workforce.
