Telangana Joint Action Teams Conduct Preparations for Monsoon, Identify 913 Potential Waterlogging Locations
Authorities have identified over 900 points of waterlogging across three commissionerates in the region. This includes 523 locations in Hyderabad, 202 in Cyberabad, and 188 in Malkajgiri.
Waterlogging is often caused by heavy rainfall, inadequate drainage systems, and urban development that affects natural water flow. Local officials are now assessing the identified sites to implement corrective measures, including the improvement of drainage systems and potential infrastructure adjustments.
Residents are advised to exercise caution in affected areas, particularly during heavy rainfalls, and to report any additional waterlogging sites to local municipal authorities. The identification of these points is part of a broader initiative to enhance urban resilience to flooding and improve overall city management.
