Telangana RTC Bus Services Affected by Workers Strike Starting Midnight of April 22
Negotiations between the Road Transport Corporation Joint Action Committee (RTC JAC) and the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) have not yielded any agreement. The RTC JAC, representing the interests of the transport workers, stated that discussions with both the TGSRTC management and the Telangana government have come to an impasse.
In response, the TGSRTC management and the Telangana government have requested a four-week extension to allow a committee of four senior bureaucrats to review the demands and grievances raised by the RTC JAC. This committee is expected to analyze the issues in detail and propose possible solutions.
The talks come amid ongoing concerns about worker conditions, wages, and operational challenges faced by the RTC. The resolution of these issues is seen as crucial for the stability and efficiency of public transport services in the state. Stakeholders are hopeful that the proposed committee will facilitate constructive dialogue and lead to a resolution that benefits both workers and the commuting public.
