Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Travels to Delhi to Request Approval for Hyderabad Metro Phase II
The estimated total cost for the Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-II project is ₹38,595 crore. This extensive expansion plan aims to enhance urban mobility and reduce traffic congestion in the city by extending the metro network to various key areas.
Phase II of the project is expected to cover approximately 81 kilometers and includes several new routes that will connect underdeveloped regions to the main urban centers. The initiative is anticipated to serve more than one million passengers daily upon completion, significantly improving public transportation access for residents.
Construction for Phase II is slated to commence in the coming months, with completion targeted for 2025. The project is part of the citys broader efforts to develop sustainable transport solutions and is expected to promote economic growth and improve air quality in the region.
