Telangana Irrigation Minister Uttam Announces Review of Four Proposals for Connecting Tummidihatti and Yellampalli

The Congress government has reaffirmed its commitment to the Pranahita-Chevella irrigation project, which aims to improve irrigation facilities and water availability in the region. As part of the preparations for the upcoming monsoon season, the government has also directed the restoration of various barrages to ensure effective water management.

The Pranahita-Chevella project, initially launched to support agricultural productivity and provide drinking water to several districts in Telangana, has faced delays and challenges over the years. The government intends to accelerate the completion of this project to benefit local farmers and enhance water security in the area.

In addition to the projects revival, the restoration of barrages is critical for managing water flow and mitigating the risk of flooding during the monsoon. The authorities have urged relevant departments to expedite the repair work, ensuring that all necessary measures are in place to safeguard against adverse weather conditions and to augment irrigation infrastructure ahead of the rainy season.
