Temperatures Exceed 40°C in Five Districts of Karnataka
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported that temperatures in four districts of north interior Karnataka and one district in south interior Karnataka have exceeded 40°C. This increase in temperature aligns with ongoing weather patterns in the region, which have been characterized by heightened heat in recent weeks.
As of the latest data, districts such as Raichur, Ballari, and Kalaburagi in the north interior region have experienced particularly high temperatures, which can have significant effects on local agriculture, water resources, and public health. The district in south interior Karnataka affected by this heat wave is reported to have similar conditions.
The IMD has advised residents to take precautions to mitigate the effects of extreme heat, particularly in light of the potential for heat-related illnesses. Additionally, the IMD continues to monitor the situation closely and provides updates on weather conditions, advising on potential impacts and preventive measures as necessary.
