Temperatures Exceed 40°C in Five Districts

According to data from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), four districts in North Interior Karnataka and one district in South Karnataka experienced significantly elevated temperatures on Sunday, with deviations reaching up to 3°C above the average for this time of year.

The affected districts in North Interior Karnataka include Bidar, Kalaburagi, Koppal, and Raichur, while the southern district noted for its temperature anomaly is Chamarajanagar. Meteorological officials indicate that such temperature increases can be attributed to a combination of factors, including prevailing weather patterns and atmospheric conditions.

These above-normal temperatures are part of a broader trend observed during the ongoing post-monsoon season, where atypical weather phenomena are affecting various regions across the country. The IMD continues to monitor the situation closely and has recommended that residents remain hydrated and take necessary precautions during this period of heat.
