Termination of Contracts for 134 Kudumbashree Staff in Kerala
An order has been issued to extend the contracts of various employees until September 30. However, it is important to note that staff members involved in the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM) project have not benefited from this extension.
The DAY-NULM initiative aims to reduce poverty by promoting self-employment and organizing urban poor into self-help groups. Currently, there are concerns among DAY-NULM project staff regarding job security and continuity of their work, which is crucial for the implementation of urban livelihood programs.
Stakeholders, including project employees and community representatives, are encouraged to engage with local authorities to seek clarification regarding their employment status and potential future contracts.
