Transport Minister Directs Prompt Resolution of PUNBUS Workers Issues

Finance and Transport Minister Harpal Singh Cheema has called for the prompt resolution of issues faced by workers of PUNBUS, the state-run bus service in Punjab. During a recent meeting, Cheema emphasized the importance of addressing the concerns of the employees to ensure smooth operations and maintain public transport services.

The ministers directive comes in response to ongoing grievances raised by PUNBUS workers, who have been advocating for better working conditions and fair treatment. Cheema acknowledged the vital role that these workers play in the transportation sector and stressed the need for a collaborative approach to resolve their issues swiftly.

To facilitate this process, Cheema has instructed relevant authorities to engage in discussions with the workers representatives. He urged that all parties work together to find solutions that are satisfactory for both the employees and the management of PUNBUS. The minister expressed his commitment to ensuring that the workers rights are protected and that their concerns are addressed in a timely manner.

In addition to resolving current issues, Cheema highlighted the importance of creating a sustainable framework for the future. He called for the establishment of regular communication channels between the workers and management to prevent misunderstandings and foster a positive working environment.

The ministers proactive stance has been welcomed by the workers, who have expressed hope that their voices will be heard and their concerns taken seriously. The resolution of these issues is seen as crucial not only for the welfare of the employees but also for the overall efficiency of the public transport system in Punjab.

As discussions continue, stakeholders remain optimistic that a fair and equitable resolution will be reached, ensuring that PUNBUS can continue to provide reliable transportation services to the people of Punjab.
