Trinamool and BJP Conclude Campaigning Efforts Ahead of West Bengals First Phase of Polls
Voting for 152 seats in 16 districts of West Bengal is scheduled to take place on April 23. The election will be a significant event as it involves various political figures, including West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, All India Trinamool Congress leader Abhishek Banerjee, and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, all of whom are actively participating in campaign rallies across the region.
In preparation for the election, the government has deployed approximately 2,450 companies of Central paramilitary forces to ensure a secure and orderly voting process. The deployment aims to maintain peace and prevent any electoral malpractices.
This election is part of the broader electoral process in West Bengal, which has seen heightened political activity and voter engagement. With a population of over 90 million, West Bengal plays a crucial role in the Indian parliamentary system, and the results of this election will contribute significantly to the balance of power at both state and national levels.
