Trinamool Congress, led by Mamata Banerjee, Dismisses Rebel Factions Claims to Election Commission

Rebel Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) have affirmed their recognition of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjees authority by deciding to participate in the upcoming 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections under the symbol of the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC). Their candidacy papers, specifically Forms A and B, were signed by Banerjee, who serves as the party chairperson.

This development highlights the ongoing dynamics within the AITC, as several MLAs who previously expressed dissent appear to reconcile their positions by aligning with the partys leadership in the upcoming electoral process.
