Tripura Government Rescinds Summer Vacation for Colleges
The Higher Education Directorate has announced the cancellation of the previously scheduled 26-day summer vacation for all colleges, originally set to begin on May 26. Animesh Debbarma, the Director of Higher Education, stated that this decision was made in the interest of students.
This change comes in light of ongoing academic programs and the need to ensure that students receive adequate instructional time. The Directorate has emphasized the importance of student engagement and continuity in education, especially following disruptions caused by the pandemic.
Colleges are expected to adjust their academic schedules accordingly, and additional details regarding the implications for students and faculty will be communicated shortly. Institutions are encouraged to accommodate any necessary modifications to ensure a smooth transition as they navigate this unexpected shift in the academic calendar.
