TUDA Requests Central Funding to Support Infrastructure Development in Tirupati

The Chairman of the relevant authority has called for increased investment in key infrastructure projects, including trunk infrastructure development, Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping, and initiatives aimed at enhancing tourism services. This appeal is in response to a notable rise in the annual influx of pilgrims, which has exceeded 27 million.

The substantial increase in pilgrimage numbers highlights the growing importance of infrastructure improvements to accommodate the needs of visitors. The Chairman emphasized that effective trunk infrastructure is essential for facilitating access to religious sites, ensuring the safety and comfort of pilgrims, and supporting local economies.

Additionally, the implementation of GIS mapping technologies could optimize visitor experiences by providing real-time navigation and information about local attractions and services. Meanwhile, enhancing tourism initiatives could further elevate the regions profile as a pilgrimage destination, potentially attracting even more visitors.

Stakeholders in the tourism and infrastructure sectors are urged to collaborate on these projects to maximize the benefits of the increasing pilgrimage activity, which not only supports the spiritual needs of millions but can also lead to economic growth for local communities.
