Union Cabinet Approves ₹2,533 Crore for Office and Housing Developments for Central Staff in Amaravati

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved the Central Government General Pool Accommodation (CGGPOA) and the General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) projects. These initiatives aim to develop office and residential facilities for Central government employees in the national capital, New Delhi.

The CGGPOA project focuses on enhancing the availability of office space for government officials, improving the operational efficiency of various departments. Meanwhile, the GPRA project addresses the housing needs of Central government staff, ensuring adequate living arrangements for those serving in the capital.

Both projects are expected to contribute to better working and living conditions for government employees, as well as stimulate local economies by creating jobs during the construction phase and beyond. The successful implementation of these projects will also align with the governments target of improving infrastructure and promoting urban development in key areas.
