UP Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak Opens CISCE Workshop to Enhance School Fitness Initiative
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) recently held the Active CISCE regional workshop in Lucknow, attended by approximately 320 coaches, physical education teachers, and sports coordinators from various schools across Uttar Pradesh. The workshop aimed to enhance the physical fitness programs within schools in preparation for the 2026–27 academic session.
Key topics included fitness assessment methodologies and the effective implementation of fitness initiatives within the school curriculum. Additionally, CISCE presented data from the previous academic year (2025–26), outlining enrolment figures, completion rates of fitness assessments, and the expansive reach of the national school fitness initiative. This workshop is part of CISCEs ongoing efforts to promote health and physical education in schools, recognizing the critical role of physical fitness in the overall development of students.
Such initiatives align with broader educational goals, including fostering student well-being and encouraging a culture of fitness and healthy living in the educational environment.
