UPTET 2026: Yogi Adityanath Initiates Separate TET for In-Service Teachers, Instructs Officials for Smooth Conduct of Exam

The Uttar Pradesh government has instructed the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) to organize a dedicated Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) specifically for in-service teachers. This initiative aims to facilitate additional opportunities for these educators to meet the necessary eligibility criteria.

This development arrives in preparation for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) scheduled between July 2 and July 4, 2026. The state government is making concerted efforts to ensure that the examination process is conducted in a fair, transparent, and efficient manner for approximately 2 million candidates expected to participate.

The introduction of a separate TET for in-service teachers reflects the governments recognition of the unique qualifications and experiences these educators possess, thus aiming to enhance the overall quality of education in the state. Further details regarding the logistics and registration process for both the general and in-service TET will likely be provided by the UPESSC in the coming months.
