Vessel Transporting 20,000 Tonnes of LPG Arrives in Gujarat Following Passage through Strait of Hormuz

The MV SYMI, a vessel registered under the Marshall Islands flag, embarked on its journey from Qatar and arrived at the Kandla port in India at approximately 11:30 PM on May 16. The ship successfully navigated the Strait of Hormuz on May 13 during its route.

The Strait of Hormuz is a strategically significant waterway, critical for the transportation of oil and gas from the Middle East to global markets. It connects the Persian Gulf with the Gulf of Oman and is one of the busiest maritime passages in the world. The route taken by MV SYMI is vital for trade and commerce, especially for countries reliant on energy supplies from the region.

Kandla port, located in the state of Gujarat, is one of India’s major ports and serves as a key trade hub for various goods, including textiles, chemicals, and agricultural products. The arrival of vessels like the MV SYMI contributes to the ongoing economic activities and development in the region.
