Veteran Actor to Establish Dharamshala in Ayodhya Property in Fathers Memory

Amitabh Bachchan is preparing to pay tribute to his father, the late Harivansh Rai Bachchan, by establishing a memorial dharamshala in the holy city of Ayodhya. The proposed facility will consist of more than twenty guest rooms, aimed at accommodating pilgrims visiting this significant religious site.

The land for the dharamshala has already been acquired, and the design plans are currently under review by the Ayodhya Development Authority. This review process is set to include feedback from the public, ensuring the structure meets the needs of its future users. Construction of the dharamshala is expected to commence in October, contingent upon the necessary approvals.

The initiative reflects a broader effort to enhance amenities for devotees traveling to Ayodhya, which is famed for its historical and spiritual importance, especially following the Supreme Courts 2019 ruling that allowed the construction of a Ram Temple in the area. The memorial dharamshala aims to provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for visitors, further supporting the local pilgrimage economy.
