Visakhapatnam Collector Requests Collaboration from Parties for Electoral Roll Special Initiative Removal

District Collector M. Abhishikt Kishor has called upon political parties to actively participate in the Statewide Initiative for Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, marking the first comprehensive update in 23 years. The draft electoral roll is scheduled to be released on July 21, with the finalized version expected to be available by September 22.

This revision aims to ensure a more accurate and inclusive voter registration process, reflecting recent changes in demographics and residency. Political parties play a critical role in this initiative by encouraging voter registration and facilitating feedback on the draft roll. The involvement of political stakeholders is vital for enhancing electoral transparency and engagement within the community.

In preparation for this update, the District Collector emphasized the importance of timely feedback from party representatives to address any discrepancies and ensure all eligible voters are included.
