VMC Considers Water Supply from Andhra Reservoir to Address City Needs
Fort City requires approximately 47 million liters of water per day to meet the needs of its residents and industries. However, during the months of April and May, water availability has reportedly fallen short, with supplies estimated to be below 35 million liters per day. This discrepancy has raised concerns about potential water shortages, especially as temperatures rise and demand typically increases during the warmer months.
Local authorities are currently assessing the situation and exploring options to bolster water supply, which may include implementing conservation measures and enhancing water retention strategies. Residents and businesses are encouraged to conserve water to help alleviate pressure on the existing supply. The city is also considering collaborations with neighboring regions to ensure a more stable water distribution system moving into the summer months.
