Vote Counting to Take Place at Three Centers in Ernakulam

Strong rooms containing ballot boxes will be opened at 6:30 a.m. local time, with the presence of candidates or their authorized representatives required for this process. The official counting of votes is scheduled to commence at 8 a.m. First, officials will tally postal ballots, which are typically submitted in advance of the election day. Following this, the counting will progress to votes cast through electronic voting machines (EVMs).

This procedure is part of the established electoral framework aimed at ensuring transparency and accountability in the vote-counting process. Election authorities are focused on maintaining security and efficiency during the counting of votes, which is a crucial stage of the electoral process, as it determines the outcome of the election. Results are expected to be made available to the public soon after the counting concludes.
