Voting Commences at 15 Polling Stations for Two Assembly Seats Following ECI Repoll Order in West Bengal

Repolling has been scheduled for 11 polling stations within the Magrahat Paschim Assembly constituency and four polling stations in the Diamond Harbour constituency. The voting process commenced at 7 a.m. and is set to conclude at 6 p.m. today, according to official announcements.

This decision for repolling may be attributed to irregularities or issues that were reported during the initial polling. The Election Commission typically orders repolls to ensure the integrity of the electoral process and to provide voters with a fair opportunity to participate. Additional information regarding the nature of the irregularities and the overall voter turnout will be analyzed following the completion of the voting process. As the regions have a diverse electorate, the repolls are seen as critical to maintain public confidence in the democratic process.
