West Bengal Holds Second Phase of Assembly Elections
In the second phase of the electoral process, 142 seats are set to be contested across seven districts in South Bengal, including the capital city of Kolkata. Approximately 3.21 crore voters are eligible to participate in this phase, where they will make their decisions regarding the candidacies of 1,448 individuals vying for these positions.
This electoral phase is critical as it will significantly impact the overall outcome of the elections in the region. Given the diverse demographics and political dynamics of the districts involved, candidates will focus on addressing key issues such as development, infrastructure, and local governance to attract voter support. The second phase follows a series of electoral events aimed at strengthening democratic processes in West Bengal, with subsequent phases planned in the coming weeks.
