NEET UG Counselling 2026: Round 1 Choice Filling Commences; Update on AIQ and State-wise Counselling Status

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate (NEET UG) counseling for 2026 has reached an important milestone, with the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) initiating the Round 1 choice filling process for All India Quota (AIQ) seats. Alongside this, a reset facility has been introduced, enabling candidates to correct any errors in their registration details.

State-level counseling is also underway in several regions, including Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Punjab, each at varying stages of the process. Additionally, the revised guidelines concerning Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) have introduced new requirements that eligible candidates must fulfill to participate in the counseling process.

Candidates are encouraged to stay updated on the latest developments, as the choice filling and state counseling processes are critical components in securing placements in medical institutions across India. The MCC has advised participants to carefully review their selections and ensure compliance with the new guidelines to facilitate a smooth counseling experience.
