Amazon Targets 70,000 Sellers in West Bengal for Upcoming Prime Day Sale

Amazon has established a significant operational presence in West Bengal, comprising three Fulfillment Centers and three Sortation Centers. Additionally, the company boasts over 1,050 Amazon Hub Delivery locations and nearly 100 delivery stations, both Amazon-owned and partner-operated, throughout the state.

The Fulfillment Centers serve as key logistics hubs, where products are stored, picked, packed, and shipped to customers, ensuring efficient order processing. The Sortation Centers play a crucial role in optimizing the delivery process by organizing packages based on their final destinations.

West Bengals strategic location in eastern India enhances Amazons ability to reach various regions swiftly, catering to the growing e-commerce demand among local consumers. This expansion is part of Amazons broader strategy to enhance its logistics network across India, which has seen a significant increase in online shopping, particularly in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
