Andhra Social Welfare Minister Promises Resolution of APSRTC Employees Issues

In a recent visit to Ongole, Social Welfare Minister Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy addressed the concerns of APSRTC workers regarding delayed dearness allowance (DA) payments and issues related to the Stree Shakti program workload. The minister assured employees that the government is actively taking steps to resolve the outstanding DA dues, which has been a significant issue for many workers who rely on these payments for their livelihood.

Additionally, Minister Veeranjaneya Swamy acknowledged the workload challenges faced by workers involved in the Stree Shakti initiative, which aims to empower women through various social and economic programs. He emphasized the governments commitment to ensuring fair working conditions and adequate support for all personnel involved in these critical social welfare programs.

The APSRTC workers concerns have been raised in light of ongoing financial challenges faced by the organization, exacerbated by the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The ministers assurances come as part of broader efforts by the state government to promote the welfare of its workforce and improve operational efficiency within the public transport sector.
