Ashwini vaishnaw envisions jewaras a future hub for chip manufacturing in northern india

Jewar is poised to emerge as a significant center for electronics manufacturing, with the launch of two new projects valued at Rs 6,750 crore. This initiative is projected to generate approximately 3,000 employment opportunities in the region.

Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw, announced the laying of foundation stones for facilities dedicated to the production of advanced printed circuit boards and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) components.

This strategic development is part of Indias broader objective to transition from assembly-based manufacturing to deeper, more sophisticated manufacturing processes. The initiative aims to enhance domestic production capacities, reduce reliance on imports, and stimulate economic growth.

The announcement aligns with the Indian governments Made in India initiative, which seeks to position the country as a global manufacturing hub. As the electronics sector is anticipated to see substantial growth, these projects may also attract further investment in related industries, thereby fostering technological advancement and innovation within the country.
