ASI Transfers Rakhigarhi Skeletons to Anthropological Survey of India for Advanced Research

A recent memorandum of understanding (MoU) between two institutions has facilitated a significant transfer aimed at enhancing multidisciplinary research concerning one of the key urban centers of the Indus-Saraswati Civilization. This initiative is expected to promote scholarly cooperation and provide new insights into the historical and cultural significance of the region. According to the Director of the AnSI (Archaeological Survey of India), this collaboration will bring together various academic disciplines, enabling a comprehensive exploration of the site’s rich archaeological heritage. The Indus-Saraswati Civilization is known for its advanced urban planning and sophisticated societal structures, making this research initiative a valuable contribution to the understanding of ancient civilizations in South Asia.
