BJP Government in West Bengal Says It Is Delivering on Election Promises: Shah

On the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Deendayal Upadhyaya, the founder of the Jana Sangh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah praised his significant contributions to nation-building and his role in shaping Indias political landscape.

During their remarks, both leaders highlighted Upadhyayas vision of integral humanism, which emphasizes the importance of a holistic approach to societal development that encompasses social, economic, and cultural factors. Upadhyaya, who was instrumental in establishing the Jana Sangh in 1951, played a crucial role in promoting the ideals of nationalism and cultural identity in India.

The commemoration of Upadhyaya’s legacy is part of broader efforts to engage youth and inspire a new generation in the values he championed. Events and discussions are expected to take place across the country to honor his contributions to society and to reflect on the current relevance of his ideas in Indias democratic fabric.

In addition to the government leaders, various political figures, scholars, and members of the Jana Sanghs successor organization, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), have reiterated their commitment to promoting Upadhyayas principles as guiding tenets for modern governance and social cohesion in India.
