BJP Aims to Retain Power in Uttarakhand in 2027 with Dhami at the Helm, Says Nitin Navin
At a recent event in Dehradun, Navin expressed support for the Uttarakhand government led by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, commending its significant initiatives. He specifically noted the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), which aims to replace personal laws based on the scriptures and customs of each major religious community with a common set governing every citizen. This reform is intended to promote equality and justice, ensuring that all citizens are treated equally under the law, irrespective of their religious beliefs.
Additionally, Navin praised the governments effective management of the Char Dham Yatra, an annual pilgrimage that attracts thousands of devotees to the sacred sites of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. The Char Dham Yatra is not only significant from a spiritual perspective but also has substantial implications for the local economy, particularly in the tourism sector. The Dhami governments efforts have reportedly focused on enhancing infrastructure, ensuring the safety and security of pilgrims, and improving overall accessibility to these revered locations.
