BLOs Initiate Door-to-Door Visits as SIR Launches in Jharkhand

The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Jharkhand has stated that the System of Integrated Electoral Roll (SIR) ensures a participatory and transparent approach in the management of the electoral roll. The CEO emphasized that the process is subject to auditing at various stages to maintain integrity and accuracy. Additionally, provisions for appeals are in place, allowing stakeholders to address any discrepancies or concerns regarding the electoral roll.

The SIR is designed to enhance the voter registration process, ensuring that the electoral rolls are up to date and reflect the current demographics of the state. This initiative is part of broader efforts by the Election Commission of India to foster greater public engagement in the electoral process and to uphold the democratic principles of transparency and accountability.

As part of the election preparations, Jharkhands electoral authorities are also conducting awareness campaigns to inform citizens about the importance of registering to vote and how to verify their details on the electoral roll.
