Centre Approves ₹1,501.03 Crore for Water and Drainage Projects in Visakhapatnam, Madhurawada to Receive Major Funding

The funding allocated under the Urban Challenge Fund amounts to ₹1,501.04 crore, which includes a 25% grant from the Government of India (GoI) totaling ₹375.26 crore. Additionally, the financing structure comprises support from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and loans sourced from Canara Bank and Indian Overseas Bank (IOB).

The Urban Challenge Fund is designed to support innovative urban development projects across India, aiming to enhance infrastructure, promote sustainable city planning, and improve public services in urban areas.
