Chief Minister Opens Annual Snehagamam Convention

The Ranni-Nilackal diocese of the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church held a grand event to celebrate the golden jubilee of the priesthood of two esteemed leaders: Joseph Mar Barnabas Suffragan Metropolitan and Isaac Mar Philoxenos Episcopa.

The ceremony took place over the weekend and was attended by a wide array of clergy, parishioners, and community members who came together to honor the significant contributions of both bishops to the church and the wider community over the past fifty years.

Joseph Mar Barnabas, who was ordained to the priesthood in 1973, has played a crucial role in the spiritual leadership and development of numerous congregations, while Isaac Mar Philoxenos, also ordained in the early 1970s, has been instrumental in fostering interfaith dialogue and community development initiatives.
