CIBA Scientists in Chennai Create Eco-Friendly Fertilizers from Fish Byproducts

A new line of products has been introduced to tackle the dual issues of scientific disposal of fish waste and the increasing demand for sustainable nutrient sources that improve soil fertility and enhance agricultural productivity.

These innovative solutions aim to convert fish waste, often viewed as an environmental burden, into valuable organic fertilizers. This not only promotes responsible waste management but also aligns with current agricultural practices focused on sustainability.

The products are designed to not only reduce the ecological impact of fish waste but also provide farmers with eco-friendly alternatives to chemical fertilizers. By improving soil health and increasing crop yields, these solutions are expected to contribute positively to both environmental preservation and food security.

In light of the growing concerns over the environmental impact of traditional fertilizer use, this initiative is particularly timely. As agriculture faces increasing pressures from climate change and soil degradation, the adoption of sustainable practices such as those offered by these products becomes more critical.
