Close to 50 Fatalities Reported on Railway Tracks Between Alappuzha and Thrissur This Year
In the current year, a total of 48 fatalities have been reported along rail tracks in the region. Notably, 20 of these incidents occurred on the railway segment between Kalamassery and Irinjalakuda. Additionally, 17 fatalities were recorded on the tracks connecting Irinjalakuda to Vallathol Nagar.
Authorities are investigating the factors contributing to these occurrences, including safety measures, infrastructure conditions, and the adequacy of warning systems for pedestrians and residents living near the tracks.
