CPI Unveils Manifesto for Tamil Nadu Assembly Election 2026, Aiming to Address Commercialization of Water Resources and Agriculture
The Communist Party of India (CPI) has reiterated its commitment to fostering the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the country. This initiative aligns with the partys broader economic agenda, which aims to promote local entrepreneurship and create job opportunities in the grassroots level.
In addition to supporting MSMEs, the CPI has voiced strong opposition to the commercialisation of essential resources such as drinking water, agriculture, and irrigation systems. The party argues that vital resources should remain public goods to ensure equitable access for all citizens, particularly in rural areas where such services are often limited.
The CPIs stance reflects a growing concern among several political factions regarding the privatization of essential services. In recent years, debates around the commercialization of water and agriculture have intensified, with activists and political leaders advocating for sustainable practices that prioritize public welfare over profit.
These efforts come at a time when small businesses are increasingly seen as key to reviving the economy, especially in the wake of challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The governments policies towards MSMEs, including financial support and regulatory reforms, will be closely watched by both the CPI and the wider public as the country seeks to balance economic growth with social responsibility.
