Anakapalli Farmers Request Amendments to Land Records Following Jagananna Resurvey
Eight farmers have raised concerns regarding the classification of their lands in Survey No. 327/4, which they claim have been erroneously categorized as inam lands. These farmers assert that they possess valid pattas (land titles) and documentation proving their rights to cultivate the land.
Inam lands, which are granted by the government, often come with specific restrictions and obligations, potentially limiting the farmers rights to claim ownership. The affected farmers assert that their legal claim to the land is being undermined by this incorrect classification.
The situation has drawn attention to the need for proper record-keeping and verification processes concerning land ownership in the region. Local authorities have been urged to review the farmers documentation and rectify any discrepancies in land records to ensure that rightful ownership is upheld. The farmers seek resolution through community discussions and consultations with agricultural and land management authorities.
