Delhi Experiences Minimum Temperature of 28.4°C, Exceeding Norms

As of 9 a.m. today, Delhis Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded a level of 210, indicating poor air quality. This level of pollution can pose health risks, particularly for vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and individuals with pre-existing respiratory or cardiovascular conditions.

The poor category on the AQI scale typically encompasses values between 201 and 300, prompting advisories from health authorities to minimize outdoor activities and take protective measures. Factors contributing to the elevated AQI levels in the capital frequently include vehicular emissions, industrial activities, construction dust, and seasonal crop burning in surrounding regions.

Citizens are encouraged to monitor air quality updates and follow recommended health precautions, such as wearing masks outdoors and using air purifiers indoors. The government and environmental agencies are also expected to assess measures to tackle the declining air quality, especially as winter approaches, which often exacerbates pollution in the region.
